- Meet the builder-
Dirk of Exclusive Drums explains:
"Exclusive Drums was born out of two of my true passions: designing beautiful wooden objects and playing and enjoying every kind of music.
For 30 years, I've been designing and creating interiors and furniture in my own furniture workshop. Over the years, however, music and drumming became more than just a hobby. I played drums myself in various bands (rock, cover bands, rockabilly...) and, in between making furniture and performing, I began to dream of building my own snare drum. Using my knowledge of wood as a raw material and how to work with and treat it, I perfected my technique and learned how to build drums for various genres of music (jazz, blues, rock...).
Aside from the fact that every drum looks amazing, it's their fantastic sound that gives me the most satisfaction… as if my efforts and passion add just that little extra something.
In the meantime, my dream has become more than a reality! I stopped making furniture to devote myself entirely to crafting custom-made drums and started my own drum workshop in Bruges. Each of these handmade drums is a unique instrument.
Feel my passion and enjoy the sound of Exclusive Drums!
